Alien registration procedure

  • Application
    • Period
      • - Within 90 days from the date of arrival

        time such status or permission
        was granted
    • Attached forms

      • - 1 color photo (3.5x4.5)

        sojourn status
      • - Fee: KRW 30,000
  • Submission of Application for
    Alien Registration     Immigration Office or Branch Office within the jurisdiction
  • Issuance of Alien
    Registration Card     Affix the alien registration to the passport

Alien Registration Report

  • Aliens required to report: An alien who intends to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry
  • Report by: Within 90 days from the date of arrival
  • Report to: Seoul Southern Immigration Office
    (Address: 151, Mokdongdong-ro, Sinjeong-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, Telephone: 02-2650-4617)
  • Required documents: Passport, photograph, integrated report form, issuance fee (KRW 30,000), etc.
    For marriage migrants, marriage certificate, resident registration certificate, document evidencing place of sojourn
    (If your address differs from that of your spouse)

confirmAny alien who fails to register shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than one year or by a fine not exceeding KRW 10 million, and will be deported

Re-issuance of Alien Registration Card

  • Report by : Apply in person within 14 days from the date on which the reason for re-issuance arises
  • Required documents : Passport, application, reason for loss (for lost passport only), photograph, fee (KRW 30,000), etc.
