Childcare Service

Childcare service providers pay visit to double-income households with a child aged 12 or younger to provide safe childcare services

Childcare by the hour (general)

Under the service by the hour, childcare service providers pay visit to the households with a child aged between 3 months and 12 years to provide safe 1:1 childcare services, and the service is provided at any time as the applicant requires, including nighttime and public holidays (Even if the hours exceed the government-set limit, the applicant can continue to use the service at his/her own expenses without any restriction on the hours) The service charge is KRW 7,800 per hour and the government support will vary depending on the applicant's income level, and the government-set limit is 600 hours per annum, and the applicant must apply for 2 hours or longer for each session

All-day care (all-day infant care)

During the all-day infant care service, childcare service providers visit the households with a child aged between 3 months and 36 months to provide comprehensive care services in the fields of health, nutrient, hygiene and education of infants, such as 1:1 feeding of baby foods, feeding bottle sterilization, changing diapers, and bathing. The expenses for each child is KRW 1.56 million based on 200 hour-service per month, with the varying state support depending on the applicant’s income level, and state-supported hours are 120-200 hours each month.

The childcare service is provided according to contracts within the hours of state support
