Seokgusang is located within Hoamsan Mountain Fortress, National Heritage No. 343.

An animal statue standing 50 meters from northeastern Hanumul Well, it is known as Haetaesang (statue of mythical unicorn lion) to the public in relation to the myth of the Joseon Dynasty's decision to choose its capital. The statue was reportedly arranged to face the Haetae statues at Gyeongbokgung Palace in order to suppress the "fire energy" of Gwanaksan Mountain and to protect Seoul City from fires. However, the shape of this statue resembles a dog rather than a unicorn lion, and considering the relevant records in Gyeonggieupji written in 1956, it should be regarded as a dog statue. It is 1.7 meters long, 0.9 meters wide, and 1meter high, and the technique used to build the stone statue appears sophisticated and detailed, depicting the eyes, nose, ears, lips, feet, and tail realistically.
